The media library is a topographical transition with the surrounding landscape. It offers an unobstructed view of the hillsides and the Tour des Dames from Place Jean Jaurès.
The site is of high quality, opening onto a historic square, and is linked to the landscape of the hillsides and the hospital tower. The building is located on the edge of the city, and the project aims to mark this boundary between city and landscape. By offering a transition in scale with the historic buildings, the building assumes its status as a public facility and thus responds to the market hall. The project for the future media library in Tournon-sur-Rhône is very interesting because it brings together several programs that will have to fit together harmoniously while remaining autonomous. The challenge is to offer residents bright and attractive spaces that will contribute to the dynamic of the square. First of all, the lobby is centered on the market hall and responds to it with a very open and transparent space on the ground floor that allows the reading areas to be seen directly from the public space.
