We propose a tree-lined street, the true backbone of the project, designed to host a wide variety of events. During the day and on school days, it functions as a safe pedestrian street—a pleasant space that frames views of the tree-lined avenues. During sporting events, it transforms into a lively public space—a festive venue with ample room to accommodate crowds of fans.

From these vantage points, one can appreciate the design feature of the large gym’s cantilevered roof. This overhang creates a sheltered space, suitable for refreshment stands, booths, or other amenities. Our project goes beyond simply constructing buildings: it is also an urban space designed for users to feel comfortable there.

The large sports hall is connected to the historic hall. We chose to design a shared, through-hall, with a clear separation between the locker rooms for the different teams and equally clear flow separations.

The sports hall is bathed in natural light. This even lighting ensures that games take place under optimal conditions. The wood used in the base and ceiling structure lends the entire space an elegant and warm atmosphere. The result is a facility with a contemporary design, one that showcases its bio-based construction and low-carbon footprint.

The school complex is also based on simple yet effective design choices. We opted for a compact layout by placing the classrooms on the first floor. Equipped with transom windows and floor-to-ceiling windows, they benefit from a dual orientation that allows for natural ventilation. Each space will be bright, quiet, and pleasant, providing an environment conducive to learning.

The after-school care center is located on the ground floor and has its own separate entrance. It is, however, connected to the classrooms on the first floor by a staircase.

The school cafeteria is an integral part of the overall design, resulting in a very airy, welcoming, and high-quality school. By positioning the building along the pedestrian street, we better protect the courtyard, which opens generously onto the park.

This project was designed to ensure the seamless integration of the various programs, thereby creating a true living space—a welcoming environment for all generations. It is both cost-effective and sustainable. It respects and enhances its surroundings while providing high-quality spaces that serve the needs of its users.
