The building is rotated to create a forecourt and orient the main façade towards the park, where visitors arrive. The building's flexible shape, consisting of three superimposed ribbons, echoes the roundness of the arena and its classic vertical layout with a base, a body, and a crown. These bands fold and unfold according to the program and adjust to fit it as closely as possible. They give the building a flexible shape that allows it to slide subtly into the particularly constrained plot. This also reduces the perceived scale of the building, which, in our opinion, should not be more imposing than the arena, which will remain the iconic building of Dax.

The building's skin consists of perforated, corrugated cladding, which also echoes the abundance of water and the shape of the arenas. It vibrates in the light, and its perforation gives it a depth that lends it a special quality. It also acts as a filter for certain bay windows and hides technical elements such as grilles. The cladding is installed in such a way that the panels overlap without revealing the joints, thus creating a monolithic volume in keeping with the remarkable architecture of Dax.

The facades are designed like ribbons that unfold. They consist of a vapor barrier, iron panels, crossed cladding panels with integrated bio-based insulation, a rain screen, and a visible skin of perforated and corrugated cladding. We are therefore offering a standard and economical construction. The different layers of materials, which bend according to their nature, allow for these soft and elegant curves. On the interior side, there will be a plasterboard partition wall in the main rooms.

In order to offer a façade that can be colored according to communication needs, we propose a simple system of two LED strips per layer, one at the top and one at the bottom, which allow the façades to be colored evenly. The dynamic signage on the top banner will be created using two masts equipped with video projectors, allowing the façades most visible from public spaces to be covered. The facades of the auditorium box will be made of concrete to ensure the acoustic insulation of the hall from the urban environment. The insulation will be internal and will serve both a thermal and acoustic purpose. On the outer skin, a lightweight frame will support the corrugated and perforated cladding in continuity with the other facades.
