The entrance to the school is marked by a recognizable cylindrical structure that gives the building its identity. Pierced here and there, it seems to sparkle thanks to the natural light that passes through it. The gymnasium extends onto the future forecourt, leading visitors to the school entrance.
The hall is the first point of contact with the interior of the school. It reflects the nobility we wish to give to the school. With double-height ceilings and bathed in natural light thanks to the first-floor terrace, it generously accommodates voluptuous and playful curves.
The three kindergarten classrooms overlook the courtyard and benefit from north/east light, which is perfect for concentration. We know from experience that shared workshops are not easy to use and often become storage spaces. We propose classrooms with a surface area of 72m2 each, with an almost square layout to make them as flexible as possible.
Located upstairs, the five classrooms are almost square in shape to accommodate all types of teaching methods. They enjoy generous natural light, and we wanted to systematically orient them in two directions. This has the advantage of providing different types of light throughout the day and easily creating a breeze. The classrooms on the south side have undergone careful facade treatment, detailed on the second board, to ensure thermal and visual comfort.
The administration offices are located on the first floor, connected to the lobby. The large balconies overlooking the lobby allow for constant visual contact with the building's entrances and exits. The management office, which is glazed on the circulation side, is easily identifiable for all visitors. It opens onto the courtyard and will be able to accommodate a second workstation in the future.
Access to the restaurants has been designed so that students do not cross paths. Preschoolers access their room via the hall, while elementary school students access theirs from the courtyard.
